Food

What is the signature “Kyonosuke-yaki”?

A large sheet of premium loin, seared and eaten with our original Kyoto-style dashi — accented with garlic and leek — and grated yam. Rich yet refreshingly light.

How do you eat yakiniku with dashi?

Dip the grilled meat briefly in warm dashi to wash off excess fat. Our dashi is Kyoto-style yet original, finished with garlic and leek. Add tororo (grated yam) for an even lighter taste — our staff will guide you.

What kind of beef do you use?

The owner selects the day's best cuts at the market, mainly Wagyu. Origins vary by season — please ask our staff.

What do you recommend?

Our signatures — Kyonosuke sagari, leek-dashi harami, Kyonosuke Aka, Kyonosuke-yaki and Kyonosuke loin — are guest favorites. First-timers love the 11-dish Kyonosuke Basic Course.

Do you offer course menus?

Yes — three courses: the Kyonosuke Basic (¥8,000), the Kyonosuke (¥10,500) and the Premium Kyonosuke (¥13,500), all tax included. A free-flow drink plan can be added to any course.
